The new anti ageing approach
Multilevel, dynamic skin remodelling
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a injectable treatment that consists of both high and low molecular weight, highly consented Hyaluronic Acid. This very special form of hyaluronic acid will nourishes the skin cells, hydrates from the inside out while simultaneously stimulating collagen and elastin production to tighten lax skin, and improve skin quality.
How does Profhilo work
Profhilo is injected superficially into the skin using the BAP technique. BAP stands for Bio Aesthetic points These points are positioned to cover the face with only 5 injections per side, minimising pain and downtime. Once injected the product spreads under the skin like a luxurious moisturiser. Profhilo® then integrates into the skin cells, promoting improved hydration and skin elasticity.
How soon can I return to normal activities?
The Profhilo treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that generally requires little to no downtime. You may see a little redness and sometimes some swelling at the injection points. This usually improves within 1-2 days. Bruising can occur and may take up to 1 week to heal. You can return to most of your normal activities, but avoiding intense forms of exercise for the first 24 hours after the procedure.
Risks and side effects
Side effects and complications can occur but are luckily rare. Common injection related side effects are localised and temporary, and may include swelling, redness and bruising. Occasionally you may notice itching, pain and tenderness at the injection sites or prolonged swelling. Most side effects are treatable and can be managed.
When can I expect to see a result
For best results, two treatments, spaced one month apart is recommended. The fist treatment will start the hydration and bio remodeling process and the second treatment enables further hydration, collagen and elastin stimulation and longevity.
